"World Choke" (unofficially titled) is a unreleased song by Jazmin Bean. It was intended to be on the early version of Traumatic Livelihood, however, the project was revised. It's unknown if the song was ever finished.
Background[]
During a Q&A through Instagram stories in 2020, a fan asked Bean to reveal lyrics to a song from their then upcoming debut album. Bean replied to the request and revealed lyrics.
Theme[]
The song seems to be a reflection on society, on how many people have selfish ideals. The narrator sings about how they don't want people to call them when the world is ending, because they would be glad due to this. They sing about how quote "We made our bed let's lie in it", talking about how this was the people's fault. The last line shown in the lyrical tease talks about how the peoples' selfishness is never ending.
Official versions[]
As Q&A was during the re-up sessions of Bean's EP, Worldwide Torture, this likely means that at the time the song was a demo, as other songs recording during that time intended for the scrapped album were reworked once the sessions were over, though it's unknown if this happened with the song.
