I kind of wasn't thinking about time or structure or anything for this song. I just wanted to let it loose. We had like an original demo that we made. It's a really long, just like a guitar song and then we kind of made it theatrical as all the other songs on the album; we have a beautiful outro and I just wanted it to really- I love a good ending song and like a long drawn out outro on the end of an album.

Jazmin Bean on the song.

"The Blood Brings Colour and Fluoresce" is a song by Jazmin Bean. It is the fourteenth and final track on their debut studio album, Traumatic Livelihood, and released alongside the album on February 23, 2024.

Background[]

As stated in their track by track interview for Traumatic Livelihood, while creating a demo of the track they weren't thinking about time or structure and was "letting it loose". The demo was made with past collaborators Dante Traynor and Gamaliel Rendle Traynor. They then reworked the song to make it as "theatrical" as all the other songs on Traumatic Livelihood, with frequent collaborator Matt Schwartz. In March 2023, Bean posted two snippets of the demo via their social media.

It was revealed that the song was the fourteenth and the final track on Traumatic Livelihood firstly through a premature track list reveal on Apple music, and then officially on February 21, 2024, through a album announcement on Youtube.
