It looks back at my relationship with love and sex with a storytelling perspective, exploring the lengths you’ll go to when you’re conditioned from such a young age not to understand what love is. Unlike my older songwriting, this track juxtaposes sound, production and lyrics. It acknowledges the sadness I felt in my self-worth, but the song’s driving melody has an overall sense of hopefulness and catharsis.

As Bean has stated, the song is takes a their past romantic relationships and how they in those times didn't know what was proper treatment due to being conditioned so badly that they settled for anything, even if it was not the best. In the song Bean is shown talking about how their past partners would rip them to "shreds" and how they "felt nothing" they were glad at the time being at-least their "favourtie toy".
