"Doubts" is an unreleased song by Jazmin Bean. It was likely intended to be on the early version of Traumatic Livelihood, however, the project was revised.

Background[]

Leak history[]

As with certain songs, "Doubts" has been leaked on one or multitude occasions. The list below shows all the timed the song has been leaked:

  • May 8, 2023 (final; full)[1]

Theme[]

The song seems to be about Bean's fear and moments of getting "cancelled", a phenomenon in which a person, usually someone with some level of fame or a platform, is thought to have stated or done something unacceptable by a large group of people, and is thus shunned and criticized heavily for a time being. The narrator, likely Bean themselves, of the song seems to be experiencing this, feeling a adrenalin rush to fix something in a short amount of time. They state right before the pre-chorus that they question who they are if they aren't putting on a "show", likely showing how they are willing to fight back.

The narrator shown in the post-chorus in calling out the people who paint them as bad, asking them if they still like them, now that they have done multiple things that have angered the public. The narrator states they "crashed hard", a metaphor for stating they were in the wrong all this time for painting them as this antagonist and wanting them to please them by staying the same as they were before.

  • It's likely the song was made as a test for Bean to tap into different musical genres or transitional track due to being sonically similar to the final version of Traumatic Livelihood.
