"C***" is an unofficially released song by Jazmin Bean, shared on June 2, 2023. It was intended to be on the early version of Traumatic Livelihood, however, the project was revised. It was later reused for the final version of the album but was ultimately removed due to not fitting the the revised record's concept.

Background[]

Bean posted snippets of the song a multitude of time from 2022 to 2023.[1][2] Later the full song was shared by Bean on June 2, 2023 in their Discord server due to fans asking them to release it.

Theme[]

The song seems to talk about self-confidence in a satirical point of view; using the word "c***" (originally a negative term) as a compliment; shown by Bean not wishing or being jealous of others and appreciating their friendship group.

The song also makes a refernce to Bean's EP Worldwide Torture and the "Avril Lavigne is dead" conspiracy theory, showing how their fans mimic their style from 2019-2020; the era they were starting to rise in popularity.

  • Bean has stated that they wouldn't release it as its a part of a past era, but they want to grant a wish of fans who want to hear the song.
    • They have also stated that they are glad they didn't release it, as they think the song would have aged poorly due to the term "c***" rising in popularity.
  • This song and "Happy People" were inspired by Arca's album, Kick I.[citation needed]
