"Addict" (erroneously referred to as "Catch Me Now" and "Philophobia") is an unreleased song by Jazmin Bean. It was intended to be on the early version of Traumatic Livelihood; however, the project was revised. It was later reused for the final version of the album but was ultimately removed[1].

Background[]

Bean shared a multitude of snippets of the song, from October 8, 2021 to August 3, 2021 via their socials.

From 2022 to 2023, expressed desire to rework the song for the final version of Traumatic Livelihood, which they eventually did, with producer Evan Blair. However, on May 7, 2023, Bean announced on their discord server that the song was scrapped, stating "Is This It" replaced it on the track list.

Theme[]

The song appears to be about the internal struggle and difficulties faced by someone dealing with addiction. The central message revolves around the fear and anxiety associated with addiction, as well as trying to hide this struggle from others by putting on a "smile" and pretending to be fine. Overall, the song appears to be an honest and raw reflection on the impact of addiction on a person's life, both physically and emotionally, and how it affects their perception of themselves and others.
